As a college professor, Rick has taught courses in acting, directing, theatre history, American literature, psychology, counceling and theology to traditional and non-traditional students. He served as the department chairman of both theatre department and humanities division. Currently, he teaches acting through MauiOnStage, and coaches private acting students

Rick approaches teaching as a co-learner, creating an atmosphere of respect, support, freedom - and fun.
